Candidiasis Symptoms

What is candidiasis? Well the short answer to that is when the candida in our bodies grows to beyond what we are capable of tolerating candidiasis occurs. Normally the candida inside our body is held at bay by an array of beneficial bacteria. When this is not the case most people’s candidiasis symptoms include a nasty bout with diarrhea. Sometimes though when our beneficial bacteria does not bounce back to a more regulated and healthier balance, candida yeast can grab a hold and overgrow considerably. When this occurs in our mouths it is known as “thrush”. When it occurs in a woman’s vagina it’s referred to as “vaginitis” also commonly called a candida infection. When candidiasis happens in a person’s digestive tract things get tricky because it can often remain unseen or diagnosed incorrectly for months leading to an unfortunate amount of unpleasant symptoms.

Candidiasis can range from superficial infections like vaginitis or oral thrush to systemic and much direr diseases needing immediate treatment. Some of the symptoms to be on the lookout for include bloating, gas and constipation. Sometimes candidiasis can make an individual think they’re full even though that person didn’t have a bite to eat. Because this infection sometimes interferes with our body extracting nutrients from food, a sufferer will often complain of feeling tired and fatigued. They may not have much energy and will sometimes get headaches related to hunger.

The symptoms of this infection will be different depending on where the infection is located. In some areas symptoms of candidiasis will show up as discomfort or an itching sensation. The majority of these infections are able to be treated and have very few lingering effects. Candidiasis is usually combated through the use of anti fungal drugs which usually come in the form of a pill or cream.

Yeast infections are often located in a damp area, such as the vagina, intestines or the mouth. If for any reason the infection is left to grow and isn’t treated properly for a long amount of time the yeast will transform into a fungus that will sink its roots in below the surface. A situation like this can occur without the sufferer even knowing about the infection.

Unfortunately when this situation does arise, toxins and certain kinds of substances that are usually unable to penetrate the top of the intestinal wall are granted access to attack our entire body. This can lead to a condition known as “leaky gut”. If afflicted with this syndrome some of the symptoms may include thrush, diarrhea, vaginitis, flatulence, rectal inflammation and bladder inflammation. In some serious cases it can actually cause our immune system to turn on itself. This could lead to dizziness, respiratory issues, eczema, muscle pain, acne, psoriasis, and joint pain.

There is also another type of problem that goes by the name  “invasive candidiasis” and is sometimes referred to as “candidemia”. This happens if yeast and the yeast toxins get into bloodstream. This typically happens due to becoming injured or as a side effect of surgery. When somebody has a candida infection that has entered the bloodstream they can show signs of fever or chills which won’t respond to medicine. It can spread throughout the body and cause a great deal of damage to the kidneys, liver and spleen.
